Rare Professional Bryston 4Be 2 Channel Amplifier Sweet Sounding Power Amp The "Be" was the first of the new NRB series of amps before Bryston changed the name to NRB. The "e" in "4Be" stands for Engineering. Note this is a rare Professional Model with XLR and Camac connectors (Camac is commonly seen on vintage Mark Levinson pieces) I saw one like this a while back that was used in Sony Studios / Sony Music Entertainment. 8 ohm at 250 watts per channel.Or 4 ohm at 400 watts per channel. Has 800 watt mono capability also.
2 photo's show more info on this amplifier. I used this one for a while and was absolutely blown away by the sound it produced. It produced such high quality clear sound at the lowest and highest levels of volume-floor shaking. I still can't believe it.As far as I know it was a one owner and well taken care with low hours(meaning it wasn't used in a recording studio)but no original box and papers. Both operation lights work on front also. Comes with it's period correct heavy duty power cord. I took cover off for picture only and put it right back on looks great in side not alot of dust etc. I don't see any damage or marks other than one tiny pen tip size mark on front panel low off to right center.
(see last photo #16) Measures 17 inches wide. Measures 5"&5/8ths tall and 5"&1/4 inches tall if you took off the 4 rubber bumper/feet for a rack etc. Weights in right at 40 pounds as you see it before any packaging. It's a beefy weight but not that bad if you need to move it around at all.
